Benjamin (“Ben”) focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on litigation and patent prosecution. He has more than 15 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications as well as counseling clients on the patenting process, including identifying potentially patentable inventions.

Ben works in a variety of fields and technologies and has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in all manners of electrical and mechanical systems including automotive electronics and interiors; manufacturing methods; residential HVAC; robotics; wireless devices; electronic water management devices; paper-making processes; and fishing tackle.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ben worked as a patent agent for a general practice law firm in Madison, WI. He also previously worked as a computer support manager at a small college.

Ben received his J.D. (cum laude) from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago in 2012. During law school, Ben received CALI awards for top marks in Sr. Research Seminar: Advanced Concepts in Patent Law and Litigation Strategy: Pre-Trial, Civil. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Notre Dame in Electrical Engineering in 2004.

Ben is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Seventh, Eleventh, and Federal Circuits, and is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
